Q & A

Q

How do I learn more about developing and managing our website?

Our Blog: Tips and News is available to help people take full advantage of their website's potential. We include resource tips as well as strategy and quick solutions.   In addition, check out the Tools We Use.    Remember we are available to work with you at all different levels.

Q

Do you offer advisory support?

Absolutely.  Some of our clients commit to a few hours a month for advice, training and basic administrative support.   We're glad to have this kind of arrangement although we do require clients to purchase 3 hours of support at a time.

Q

What are your fees?

We generally encourage clients to think in terms of  three different numbers, an approach that reflects our three stages of Website development  (See How We Work Together

The Planning Stage - $85-$125/hr, depending on expertise required.

The budget for this stage depends on the scope of the site and communication strategy (and your finances!)  A small site for a consultant with no interactivity requirements might simply take a couple of hours. A site that serves a large constituency may require Communication First to review resources, talk to staff, and commit many hours for a site and communication plan.

The Development Stage - bids have ranged from $1,000 to $25,000, depending on the scope of the site.

Once you have a clear plan for the site, then it is possible for Communication First to bid on the development of the site.

The Nurturing Stage

For advising, training and developing$85-$125/hr,  depending on expertise and level of commitment required.

For posting, list management and other administrative tasks $45-$55/hr, depending on expertise and level of commitment required
